Southeast Massachusetts Trip Planner
Welcome to Southeast Massachusetts!
Southeast Massachusetts encompasses a large area south of Boston that borders the state of Rhode Island to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Rife with history, this area is home to many historic attractions, including the largest solid granite monument in the nation. Found in Plymouth, the National Monument to the Forefathers is 81 ft (25 m) tall and has proudly welcomed seafarers since 1889. Other historic attractions include the Attleboro Area Industrial Museum, Fall River Heritage State Park and Plimoth Plantation. Families enjoy exploring the Capron Park Zoo in Attleboro and cooling down in the area's only waterpark, Water Wizz, which is located in Wareham. Those in search of excellent brand-name shopping appreciate the Silver City Galleria in Taunton, which boasts over 100 shops and services. Those looking for a more unique shopping experience turn to the trendy centers of North Dartmouth , New Bedford, Bridgewater and Fall River, where eclectic shops abound.
